A Dialogue:
Amazed, the animals turned to see the pig coming toward them. It was Squealer. The fat pig was balancing somewhat precariously on his hind legs, walking toward the stunned animals. A minute later several more pigs strolled out of the farm house, all walking on their hind legs, some balancing better then others... Finally there was the sharp barking of the dogs, and the shrill crow of the cockerel. Out came Napoleon, majestically upright, looking haughtily from left to right. He held a whip in his hoof. The yard was filled with a dark silence, and the animals huddled together, amazed and terrified.
Suddenly the sheep burst out, chanting, "4 legs good, 2 legs better. 4 legs good, 2 legs better." over and over again. It went on for several minutes, until the pigs succession had marched back into the house!
A shocked silence followed.
Clover and Benjamin slowly went into the barn, and, inscribed on the wall, where the 7 commandments had been written, were the words: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."
