Old Major, my hero, died awhile ago. We buried him by the orchard.
These last couple weeks Mr. Jones is getting drunk all the time and forgetting to feed us, even when we work harder then ever!
On Tuesday, we were starving, and sick of Jones's attitude. One of the cows broke into the store-shed and all of us began eating hungrily.
The next moment whips were lashing around us!! Mr. Jones had come back. He and 4 men strode around us, cracking the whip. We couldn't bear it anymore! We dove at them, scattering them! I felt so proud, galloping into the fattest of Jones' pals! We butted them and kicked them, all inflicting our own share of damage.
A few minutes later they gave up, and we watched them run down the driveway to the road. We have overthrown tyrant man!
After that we took all objects of Jones' cruelty; such as the whips, halters, bridles, nose rings, dog chains and knives,and threw them into a roaring fire!
Everyone received extra corn dished out by Napoleon. Then we sang Beasts of England 7 times over, while running at full speed!
